ABOUT THE GRANT
The CD 9 Community Grants Program is a first-of-its kind, community investment initiative designed and piloted by Councilmember Curren D. Price, Jr.
In early 2022, Councilmember Price made an open call to community-based nonprofits, block clubs and Neighborhood Councils serving Council District 9 to apply for grants of $5,000 to $150,000 to support community-based programs and projects in the NEW 9th.
The program officially launched in May 2022 with a total of $5.5 million in Community Reinvestment Funds allocated to support 91 organizations and projects serving CD9 residents.
$5.5 MILLION IN GRANTS
Grants from $5,000 to $150,000 were awarded to eligible Council District 9 based organizations, including non-profits, block clubs, and Neighborhood Councils, who will bring innovative projects and programming to the area.
